ifcopenshell.api.alignment.get_referent_nest.get_referent_nest(file: ifcopenshell.file, alignment: ifcopenshell.entity_instance) → ifcopenshell.entity_instance

Searches for the IfcRelNest that contains IfcReferent. If one is not found, a empty IfcRelNests is created.

Parameters:

• file

• alignment – The IfcAlignment which hosts IfcReferent

Returns:

Returns the IfcRelNests.
